We Are Hiring – Head of Business Development

We are looking for a Head of Business Development, to support our goals in growing our customer base and being the number one choice when it comes to business telecommunications.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will play a major part in defining the company’s growth strategy and building a team of Business Development Executives.

There are exciting career progression opportunities and you will be instrumental in hand-picking your new sales team.

Job Title: Head of Business Development

Location: Wigan, Greater Manchester (United Kingdom)

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 basic salary (dependant on experience), plus commission and company benefits

What are we looking for you to do?

  • Build a sales team and lead from the front by meeting personal sales targets and supporting the team to meet their targets.
  • Recruit, manage and coach a team of Business Development Executives.
  • To bring onboard new customers who require business telecoms solutions and build long-lasting relationships with them acting as a key partner for their business.
  • Source, schedule and attend face to face meetings with prospective clients.
  • Understand the client’s needs, presenting solutions-based proposals and quotations in line of these.
  • Develop new accounts into long-standing customers, creating referrals from these.
  • Proactively and independently generate quality leads and appointments by actively promoting business products to end users.
  • Build relationships and ensuring customer experience is to the highest standard to ensure referrals and repeat business.

What do we need from you?

You will have proven success and a track record in closing deals, either within new business or an account management role. We are open to speaking to candidates with experience in business telecommunications (selling VoIP or Mobile Services or Connectivity such as Leased Lines, FTTC, FTTP), developing new business and selling to other businesses. It’s important that you enjoy the hunt and have the ability to close the deal. The ideal candidate must;

  • Have previous sales & people management experience.
  • Be able to demonstrate, strong interpersonal skills, exceptional negotiation skills and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate self-confidence and have a true passion for our products and services.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build and grow trusted relationships.
  • Show a high level of self-motivation, enthusiasm and passion.
  • Some level of B2B sales experience within a Telecoms, Telecommunications, Business Broadband, Business VoIP Phone, landlines or mobile market.
  • Experience of strategic selling in the telecoms industry and proven track experience in B2B sales.
  • Proven ability and key passion in building and growing a new business pipeline and generating sales.
  • Relationship and service driven with the ability to meet targets.
